Elephants, Thai Massage, Pad Thai and Singha Beer

Ya gotta love Bangkok, the Thai people and the excitement generated in just walking the streets of Bangkok. Last night I'm sitting at an outdoor cafe nursing a Stella Artois (that's Belgian beer everyone) when I feel something licking my arm. I turn and it's a baby elephant. Elephants are very respected and prized in Thailand and they use them (too often) to entice tourists for money by selling the tourist sugar cane to feed the elephant. Got some great pics.

I just love Thailand, food, massage, and the gentleness of the Thai people. I found a little sidewalk cafe on the street that I've been getting my daily dose of Pad Thai...a traditional dish of Thailand. Huge plate for 35 baht...about $1. Washed down with a Singha beer...ah, it just doesn't get any better!

I've been running 4-5 days a week on the treadmill and getting my other love here...Thai massage...for about 250 baht an hour (or about $8). Lot of stretching and pressure points...but I always feel great walking away.
